I have ran into a few people just this past week that has said to me how they like my sisterlocks? The funny thing about it is that they were able to recognize that my hair was truly Sisterlocked, even though they have their little imperfections! (It's just good to know that people are becoming more aware of sisterlocks.) So I started to think that maybe my sisterlocks have swollen or gotten larger over time. I could also see it a little in my past pictures. I also met this lady last summer who told me that she has learned that over time her sisterlocks appeared to look thinner & more refined like micro's. So my question for you is, how has your sisterlocks changed so far?

I started off with micro looking locks, now they are swollen like small/medium sisterlocks, I think the next stages will be condensing and for me to cut off the loosenatural hairat the ends.
~Thanks for sharing. Will some locks start to unravel if you cut the ends? It's also good to hear that swelling is part of the process. I am more willing to go through something that is expected than to put up with something that's not the norm.
I'm almost 6 months in and the changes I have noticed are my curly ends are traveling upward into my lock sealing off the ends. This has resulted in a shorter lock in some areas. I've also noticed more budding. The budding locks are my favorite right now. I love to caress them, LOL!
Because of my hair texture, my locks got fatter. My current consultant said the person who started them should have used micros. Currently most of my locks are larger than what you expect. I've had mine 6 years and some ends have unraveled, but the unraveling didn't continue up the lock & seems confined just to the ends. But I think that has to do with a different texture because I don't have the problem in areas where the texture is different.
