Merry Christmas and Happy Happy New Year!!!

Did you hear about the shake and quake here in the Charleston area of South Carolina?
It was really loud, scary and alarming!!! It happened about 7:40 a.m. My husband was on his way to take the girls to school and I was at home making the bed. Then suddenly this loud, huge, boom that lasted about 5-7 seconds propelled me out into the hallway and into another room. I sort of leaped over the sheets that were lying on the floor and was...gone! It seemed as if it came in a wave-like motion. Usually a loud noise or boom is an instant sound that lasts only for...a second. I don't know if you could imagine a boom that lasts longer than a second. Just think of it for a moment. A crashing sound that...lingered. That is probably the best way I can describe it. Even thunder sort of starts and restarts as a rumble, but this was...different. Either way it was amazing! I think that God's creation and His beautiful nature is just awesome. Which brings me to sisterlocks. I am enjoying reading everyone's blogs and comments. I really need to be studying for an exam that I have coming up. So I will try to stay away for a while. If I don't post anything until next year, have a happy happy new year and a very Merry Christmas!!!

Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year!

I wanted to respond to your comments on my blog. Thanks for stopping by!

There have been a great deal of Sisterlockers who didn't like the Starter Shampoo, myself included. I switched from Aveda's Detoxifier to Aubrey Organics Green Tea Clarifying Shampoo. As long as you are using a Clarifying Shampoo you should receive the same result as the Starter Shampoo, it's goal is to strip away your oils, build-up, etc (which is why your scalp may be drier than usual) to speed up the locking process. Suave also has a daily clarifying shampoo. Now, I haven't checked any of the ingredients and I'm pretty sure the Aubreys has aloe vera in it. I would recommend looking into an all Natural Clarifying shampoo, you're less likely to have a reaction with less ingredients and no harmful chemicals.

Keep us posted and enjoy the Holiday Season!!!!

The dryness and flaking is getting better. I am so glad that the pulsating pain came to an end. I am determined to continue this journey/love with Sisterlocks. Thank you so much for comments and concerns. Tonight I plan on using a clarifying shampoo. I recently had my first retightening and things are going well. The 27th made my one month sisterlock anniversary and I took some pics to celebrate. I will post them later on :) Lots of studying going on! Happy New Year
